CROCK POT APPLE CINNAMON ROLL CASSEROLE
Ingredients
- 2 (12 oz.) cans cinnamon rolls
- 2 cups peeled and chopped apples (about 2 large apples)
- 4 large eggs
- 1/2 cup half and half
- 1/4 cup maple syrup
- 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
- 1/2 teaspoon ground cinnamon
Instructions
- Spray the bottom and sides of a large oval slow cooker with cooking spray.
- Open the cans of cinnamon rolls and set aside the icing packages. Cut the cinnamon rolls into quarters.
- Add the cinnamon rolls in an even layer in the crock pot. Top with an even layer of apples.
- In a large bowl, add the eggs, half and half, maple syrup, vanilla, and cinnamon. Whisk until well combined. Pour evenly over the cinnamon rolls.
- Cover the slow cooker and cook on low for 2 1/2 hours. Butter from the cinnamon rolls may rise to the top making the casserole look wet. That does not mean the casserole needs more cooking time.
- Drizzle the icing packages over the casserole or serve with the icing packages to drizzle over individual servings.
- Serve warm. Keep the slow cooker on the warm setting if not serving immediately.
What an amazing recipe! I can imagine this would be wonderful to wake up to, especially Easter morning. I really like the addition of the apples to it. This recipe is certainly a keeper.
Very hard to make some of your recipes with Australia not having some of the ingredients here. Crock pot cinnamon rolls sounds so nice.
Yep. That is definitely a bummer that you don’t have the ingredients to make this. It’s good.
Calories on “how to page” say 80
Calories when go to recipe say 330…… big difference
What do you mean ‘calories on how to page say 80’? I don’t see what you are talking about. I only see the calories listed in the recipe itself, which is 330.
On the Yummly website, the calories are stated as 80.
Oh ok. Yeah, sorry, I don’t have any control over the Yummly website. They must have a really bad nutrition calculator on their site.
What kind of apples work best in this?
This is my first time making this. There are only 4 of us so I am cutting the ingredients in half. How long should it cook for?
This sounds amazing! Going to make it for 20. If I double the recipe will it fit in a large crockpot? Will cooking time be longer?
Do you think I could make this on a high setting in the crock pot to speed up the cook time?
Did this work putting it on high?? Or should you slow cook it
